Elma Pearl Elsheimer, 89, of Pampa, passed away, May 23, 2021 in Pampa at her home with family by her side.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Charlie Stevens of First United Methodist Church of Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Elma’s services will be live streamed through the funeral home website.
Elma was born on May 30, 1931 in Glencoe, OK to Altie and Ottie Frazee. She grew up and attended school in Glencoe. After high school, she married Gerald Elsheimer in Sedan, KS on January 16, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2003 after 55 years of marriage. In 1968 they made Pampa their home. She was a Methodist. Elma liked to stay busy and loved all crafts, she liked to paint but she especially enjoyed sewing, a hobby that she did up until her illness. But what was most important to her was her family, especially all the grandchildren.
Elma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a stepdaughter, Jerry Elsheimer; and by a brother, Wayne Frazee.
Her survivors include a daughter, Linda Keahey of Pampa; a son Richard Elsheimer and wife Wana of Amarillo; a sister, Edna Emmons of Yale, OK; four grandchildren, Renie Doherty and husband Sean of Collinsville, OK, Stephanie Silman and boyfriend Gatha Dennis of Pampa, Cathie Downard and husband Brian of Collinsville, OK, and Valerie Turner and husband Art of Pampa; six greatgrandchildren, Ashley Stone and husband Austin of Springtown, Tyler Holley and fiancé Kaysha Allen of Shamrock, Trevor Turner of OKC, OK, Austin Turner of Weatherford, OK, Sara Downard and Nick Downard, both of Collinsville, OK; five great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:30- 7:30 PM.
