Elvira Garcia Jacobo, 68, of Pampa, and formerly of Mexico, passed away on August 27, 2024, with her family by her side.

Elvira Garcia Jacobo, 68, of Pampa, originaria de Mexico, fallecida el pasado August 27, 2024, con su familia a su lado.

A Rosary service will be recited at 4:00 PM, Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Guadalupe Mayorga de St. Vincent de Paul Igleisa Catholica, officiando. La cremation y arregelos estan con Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory of Pampa.

Elvira was born on May 28, 1956, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Baltazar and Evarista Garcia. She grew up and attended school in Mexico. She met Guillermo Alvarez, and they later married and started their family, having two children, Raul and Nubia. He would precede her in death.

Elvira nacio Mayo 28, 1956, in Chihuahua, Mexico hija de Baltazar y Evarista Garcia. Ella crecio y atendio a la escuela en mexico. Conocio y se caso con Guillermo Alvarez, completo su familia con dos hijos, Raul y Nubia. 

In 2023, she moved to Pampa to be closer to her family. Elvira enjoyed playing dominos, watching TV, and having her favorite dish, enchiladas. However, her family was most important to her and Elvira took great pride in caring for her household and those that she loved.

En 2023, Ella vino a vivi a Pampa para estar mas cearca a su hijos. Elvira disfrutava jugar dominos y loteria mirar television y su comida favorita era enchiladas rojas. Sin embargo lo mas importante para Elvira era su familia. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Baltazar Garcia, Jr.

Elvira is survived by her children, Raul Alvarez and wife Maria, and Nubia Alvarez and husband Jose, all of Pampa; five grandchildren, Alejandro Alvarez, Darlene Alvarez, Aileen Andujo, Alexa Andujo, and Adilene Alvarez, all of Pampa; three sisters, Velia Perez and husband Martin of Pampa, Maria Garcia and husband Abel of Elkhart, Kansas, and Esperanza Garcia and husband Hector Alvarez of Mexico; two brothers, Merardo Garcia and wife Lola of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Armando Garcia and wife Petra of Mexico; and other extended family. 

Elvira vivio a lado de su familia Raul y su esposa Maria, su hija Nubia y Jose su esposo, sus cinco nietos Alejandro, Darlyn, Aileen, Alexa, y Adilene. Todos de Pampa.
