Emma Lee Poston

Emma Lee Poston, 88, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024 in Amarillo.

A private burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Emma was born on December 28, 1935 in Pampa to Charles “Jack” and Mary Poston. She attended school in Pampa and graduated in 1954. After graduating, Emma attended Amarillo College. She worked at King Trailer and later for HRH Insurance. Emma was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Amarillo.

Emma was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Mary Poston; two brothers, Jackie Poston and Jerry Poston; sister, Mary Gene Poston; sister-in-law, Margie Poston; and two nephews, Chuck and Scott Frith.

She is survived by two nephews, Jerry Poston, Jr and his wife Linore and Mike Poston and wife Carol; Jerry, Jr.’s children, Nick and Alex; and Mike’s children, Matt and Brandon.
