Ethel Orean Wright

Ethel Orean Wright, 72, of Pampa, passed away December 25, 2018 in Pampa. Services will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Ethel was born July 27, 1946 in Borger to Doris and Robert Wright. As a young girl, her family moved to Morse where she attended school. By her senior year, her family moved to Pampa where she graduated from Pampa High School. She had been a resident of Pampa ever since that time. Ethel worked as a babysitter for Jimmy and Marilyn McClure and Tom and Susie Lindsey families, and after that time, she worked for Alco up until its closing and then later worked at Utility Oil until her retirement. Ethel was a talented artist where she excelled at drawing and painting. Her greatest joy was her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Survivors include a sister, Debbie Sutterfield of Pampa; a niece, Samantha Pangle and husband Dustin of Pampa; two great nephews, Rruven Chavez of Pampa, and Fenix Pangle; and a great niece, Ember Pangle of Pampa. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law, Keith Sutterfield. Memorials may be made to PAWS, PO Box 2095, Pampa, Texas 79066-2095.
