Eula Dean “Puddin” Bradshaw, 76, of Pampa, went to her Heavenly home on January 2, 2019 in Pampa.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2019 at Carmichael-Whatley Chapel, with Pastor Ruby Moultrie of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Eula was born on November 8, 1942 in Pampa to William and Verla Watie. She married Wallace Charles “Chilly” Bradshaw on August 15, 1980. He preceded her in death on October 20, 2005. Charles gave her the affectionate nickname “Puddin.”
Eula worked for the Pampa ISD as a custodian for 17 years, retiring in 2013. After retiring she entered her “God called career” cooking for the Southside Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels. Eula loved to cook for family and friends. She loved serving others. Food was how she connected with people. She thought food could cure anything that ailed you. Whether illness, heartbreak or loneliness she would tell you “you got to eat something, that will make you feel better.” Her cooking drew lots of people to her, including a particular group of 5 wonderful women, who cultivated a friendship that will last forever in their hearts: Bea Taylor, Bertha McCampbell, Donna Kay Williams, Mary Fields and Moreline “Dimples” Cash.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Debra Denise Watie; a sister, Ethel Kay Simmons; and a brother, William Henry “Penny” Watie.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Price of Pampa; her son Gary “Huck” Watie and wife Tina of Pampa; a brother Herman Watie and wife Loretta of Baytown; three grandchildren, Demeyon Watie and wife Elnora of Portageville, Missouri, Jessica Smith of Dalhart, and Janea McDonald and husband Mac of Atlanta, Georgia; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews who she loved as if they were her own children, Demetra Simmons, Dionne Simmons, Diana Williams, Delecia Cash, Delencia Fields, Robert Simpson and Keith Watie.
