Ferriel L. Miller

Ferriel L. Miller, 81, of Pampa, passed away June 10, 2019 in Pampa.

Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2019, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Miller was born April 4, 1938 in Pampa to Arvil and Jeffie Johnson.  She grew up in the Texas panhandle around Pampa, Canadian and the Mobeetie areas, attending schools in Pampa and Canadian.  She enjoyed and spent a lot of time traveling with her parents.  Ferriel married Bobby Miller on October 13, 1959 at Central Baptist Church in Pampa.  He preceded her in death on September 1, 1995.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening, taking pictures, and loved the fall foliage in the Canadian area.  Most importantly, she enjoyed the holidays and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Miller and wife Marjorie of Tyler, and Jody Miller and wife LeeAnn of Keller; three daughters, Rose Ann Hughes and husband Thomas of Elk City, Oklahoma, Donna Estes, and Nancy Cox and husband Kris, all of Pampa; two sisters, Melba Kent of Amarillo and Sharon Truitt and husband Carroll of Dumas; two brothers, Lewis Johnson and wife Nancy of Dumas, and Johnny Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, Melanie McBride, Maggie Stone, Amanda Estes, Samantha Estes, Ashley Patton, Jason Hughes, Corey Hughes, Stormy Estes, Spencer Estes, Skylar Estes, Justin Miller and Cody Jacoby;  and fifteen great grandchildren, Hudson, Ellie Rose, Molly, Colton, Zakary, Jayden, Leland, Maylee, Adrinna, Elianah, Jacob, Sabrina, Spencer, Jr., Madison and Cooper.

Ferriel was preceded in death by her parents; and a great granddaughter, Hazel Rose Hughes in 2017.
