Francisco Mejia, 46, of Pampa passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 in Amarillo.
Services will be 4:30 PM Tuesday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Francisco Luna, pastor at Iglesia Christiana Canaan, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Mejia was born on November 15, 1973 in Jiquilpan, Michoacan, Mexico. He grew up in his hometown and moved to California in 1991 where he was a baker. Francisco moved to Pampa in 2007 to join the family business, Mejia’s Bakery. He loved his job and was a very talented baker. Francisco was a member of Iglesia Christiana Canaan and was a faithful member. Paco enjoyed baseball, especially the Dodgers and Yankees, buying shoes and baseball hats. He enjoyed listening to music with his friends and family.
Survivors include three sons, Francisco Mejia, Jr. of Houston, Jesse Mejia of Pampa, and Jose Mejia of Mexico; his daughter, Aide Quiroz of Pampa; four brothers, Raul Mejia, Jesus Mejia, Joaquin Mejia all of Pampa, Arturo Mejia of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his sister, Gloria Mejia of North Carolina.
