Frankie Music, 87, of Pampa, passed away on July 24, 2024, in Pampa.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Paul Hudson of the Bible Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. The burial will follow at 2:30 PM, at the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery in Sayre, Oklahoma under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Frankie was born on October 24, 1936, in Sayre, Oklahoma to Frank and Dora Hysmith. She grew up and finished school in Oklahoma. Frankie would meet the love of her life, Bill Music and they married on December 11, 1965, in Wheeler. Frankie and Bill would move to California and spend three years there before returning to Texas and settling in Pampa in 1969. They shared over 31 years together before he preceded her in death in 2000.
Frankie worked as a beautician for many years and was an owner & operator for her own salon for ten years before she retired. She was a long-time member of the Bible Baptist Church. In her spare time, Frankie liked to crochet, read, and she enjoyed listening to gospel music. However, her family was the most important thing in her life. She will be remembered as a kind lady who never met a stranger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Travis Hysmith, and Melvin Hysmith; two sisters, Geneva Hysmith-Walker, and Margie Hysmith- Dean.
Frankie is survived by her children, Alice Music-Nelson and husband Rick of Pampa, Jerry Music and wife Elizabeth of Amarillo, and Tina Hoskins of Cherokee, Iowa; stepchildren, Michael Music of Kansas, Missouri, and Gary Music and wife Arlene of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Wayne, Angel, Larry, Brandie, Kasey, Cheyenne, Kristy, Dewder, Dakota, Jennifer, David, Bobby, Sierra, Jessie, Lexi, Sarah, Emma, Zaylynn, Alex, Roy, Lorette, Jacob, and Keziah; a passel of greatgrandchildren; special family and friends, Berle May Lamm, Freddie Gordon and wife Arneeta, and Kathy Davis and husband Dennis; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
