Gaines L. (Joe) Chennault, 60, of Pampa, passed away September 8, 2020 in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 19, 2020 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Philip Elsheimer, his brother-in-law, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Gaines (Joe) was born on March 4, 1960 in Pampa to Irene and JC Chennault. He grew up and attended schools in Pampa and has been a lifelong resident. After high school, he entered the workforce where he spent many years in the oil & gas industry and as a trucker working at B & M, Chase, Triangle, and Top of Texas Oilfield Service. Gaines (Joe) was softhearted man who loved and cared for his mother and had special place in his heart for his dogs. Gaines will be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His survivors include his two daughters, Tiffany Beach and husband Chris of Canadian, and Lorisha Gilliam and husband James of Jacktown, OK; two sisters, Phyllis Elsheimer and husband Philip of Pampa and Sheelah Chennault and husband Russell of Mineral Wells; a brother, Terry Chennault of Tahlequah, OK; 7 grandchildren, Cescilly Beach and Alyssa Beach both of Canadian, Anthony Gilliam, Sarenity Gilliam, Alexis Gilliam, Jaymie Gilliam, and Keylan Gilliam, all of Jacktown, OK; 2 nieces, Melanie Martinez of Midland and Jaryn Linney and husband Brandon of Tahlequah, OK; 3 nephews, Jason Chennault and wife Sherry of Tahlequah, OK, Andy Elsheimer and wife Paula of Dumas, and Jarrod Rickles and wife Tasha of Mineral Wells; and other extended family.
