Gary Tice, 59, of White Deer, beloved husband, father and friend was called to his eternal resting place on March 21, 2020 in Amarillo.
Due to our current health conditions in our community and government regulations for small gatherings there will be a private family service for Gary. His family is planning a celebration memorial service for Gary at a later date. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Gary will available for viewing starting on Wednesday at 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Gary entered this world on February 1,1961 in Pampa, born to Milton and JoAnn Tice. He worked at various businesses around the Pampa area and for the last 19 years was employed by TDCJ as a prison officer (CO5) at the Baten Correctional Unit. He enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts of America and 4-H. Gary taught his son, Mathew, how to shoot firearms and archery, and show animals (Mathew's dog-Lady). He was an avid supporter of Mathew's competitions. Gary enjoyed being outside and attending car shows with his son.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Susette Tice of the home; a son, Mathew Tice of the home; his mother, Joanne Koelzer of Pampa; a brother, Jerry Tice and wife Sherry of Skellytown; a sister, Katherine Dawes of Oklahoma and a slew of nephews and nieces. Gary was preceded in death by his father Milton and by a brother, David Tice.
