Genevieve Fernandez

Genevieve J Fernandez age 85, of Tucumcari, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday December 29, 2021, in Pampa, Texas.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Genevieve was born January 3, 1936 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Isidoro and Encarnacion “Chonita” Galiz Martinez.  She attended St Anne's Catholic School. Genevieve moved to San Francisco when she turned 17.  She later moved to Columbus, Ohio and worked at the Ontario stores for many years before moving back home to Tucumcari to care for her mother.  She loved dancing and caring for her furbabies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Justice, eight siblings, Chano Martinez, Anna Aragon, Mary Smith, Augustine Martinez, Joe Martinez, Josephine Bliss, Stella Beltran, and Richard Manuel Martinez.

Genevieve is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
