Glenda Kay Didway, 76, of Pampa passed away on November 29, 2020 in Pampa.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Glenda was born December 18, 1943 in Pampa. She was a Pampa High School graduate in the class of 1962. After high school, she attended West Texas State University where she earned her master’s degree in Education. She was a school teacher for the Pampa Independent School District for over 35 years before she retired.
Glenda married Curtis Didway on January 22, 1965 in Pampa; he preceded her in death on June 16, 2006. She was a member of the Pampa Retired Teacher Association and Pampa Senior Citizen’s Center. Glenda enjoyed riding western pleasure on her special horse “Tennessee”. She loved all animals and has been a long-time member of the humane society. She was an avid reader and loved watching and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Glenda enjoyed her weekly lunch dates with her friends, Cindy Harris and Carol Hannah. Most of all she loved being NaNa to her 3 beautiful granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charles Roberts; and a sister, Willa Dean Durrett.
She is survived by her son, Chris Didway and wife Tammy of Pampa; 3 granddaughters, Rilee Didway of Canyon, Lexi Didway and Remi Didway both of Lubbock.
