Harold Malone

Harold Malone, 82, of Pampa, passed away May 1, 2019 in Pampa.

Services will be 4:30 PM Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with pastor Kevin Schaub, associate pastor of First Baptist Church of Durham, North Carolina, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Malone was born November 11, 1936 in Hedley to Clarence and Thelma Malone. He was a 1955 graduate of Pampa High School and attended West Texas State University in Canyon. Harold worked for National Tank and was the owner operator of Atlas Oilfield Equipment and Malone Oilfield Supply until his retirement in 2006.

Harold married Neva Rippy on August 23, 1958 in Lefors. He was a gourmet cook and had a green thumb. He loved antique cars and was a military history buff. Harold was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Neva Malone of the home; two daughters, Lyssa Schaub and husband James of Pampa, and Lara Wheeler and husband Terry of Plainview; a son, Johnny Malone and wife Cheryl of Pampa; a brother, Robert Malone and wife Carol of Houston; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Margie Malone of Pampa. Harold was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra Diane Malone; an infant son, Chris Anthony Malone; a son, Mike Malone in 2010; two brothers, Teddy Malone and Darwin Malone; and a grandson, Ryne Malone in 2010.
