Heraclia Madrid Gomez

Heraclia Madrid Gomez, 92, of Pampa, passed peacefully, from this life on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Pampa.

Vigil services will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel.  Mass will be said at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Pampa, with Rev Juan Carlos Barragan, officiating.  Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. 

Mrs. Gomez was born March 2, 1926 in Colorado City, to Eugenio and Juana Madrid.  She married Felix A. Gomez on December 16, 1944 in El Mulato, Mexico.  Felix passed away in 2002.  She was a resident of Pampa since 1955.  Heraclia loved to knit, and her passion for life was her husband, sons and their families.  She was a homemaker,  a member of the Guadalupanas and St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and sisters and a son, Mike Gomez in 2010.

Survivors left to cherish her loving memory are 2 sons, Alonso Gomez and his wife Anne of Amarillo and Alfonso Gomez and his wife Geneva of Boerne; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Gomez of Pampa; 5 grandchildren, Mirandi Gomez of Colorado Springs, CO, Phillip Gomez of Canyon, April Gomez of Pampa, Michelle Resendiz and husband Joe of Pampa and Matthew Gomez of New London,  MN; 6 great-grandchildren, Hylee Gomez of Pampa, Easton and Kaiya Resendiz of Pampa, Hannah Gomez of New London, MN, Chloe Balderas of Canyon and Baya Gomez of Canyon.
