Howard "Butch" Miller

Howard “Butch” Miller, 74, of Pampa, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at his home in Pampa.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Buck, pastor of Redeemer Pampa Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Camichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Butch was born December 31, 1948 in Pampa to Faye Dean and Earl Miller. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1967. After graduation, he married the love of his life, Lana Cheryl Stewart. They married on October 20, 1967 in Pampa. Lana preceded him in death on June 15, 2020. In 1972 they moved to Colorado and in 1986 they moved to California. Butch and Lana returned to Pampa in 2011. Butch worked in the grocery and retail industry for many years in Pampa, Amarillo, Colorado Springs, and California. He also was self-employed with a window washing business and lawn service. At the age of 11, Butch accepted the Lord as his Savior, and he served the Lord faithfully. He was a member of Redeemer Pampa Church.  He had many hobbies which included most sporting events, supporting his kids in their sports, camping, playing softball, and riding motorcycles. Butch was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and classic car enthusiast. Above all he loved his family more than anything and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Mickey Miller.

Survivors include his son, Cody Miller of Templeton, CA; daughter, Devney Anderson and husband Michael of Pampa; sister, Linda Clemmons of Lefors; five grandchildren, Chas Frick, Nevin Miller, Megan Evey and husband Jonathan, Mason Brandenburg and wife Caitlin, Cooper Anderson and wife Katelin; great grandchildren Weston and Aubrie Jones, Jameson and Savannah Brandenburg, Aiden and Adley Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 5:00-6:30 PM.
