Hubert “Tiny” Melton Duncan, 83, of Pampa passed from this life on November 2, 2020 in Pampa with his family surrounding him.
Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Kyle Collins, associate pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Hubert was born June 11, 1937 in Quanah to James B. and Tressie Savage Duncan. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1954 and went on to become an accomplished master carpenter and a professional piano player. Tiny was inducted into the Western Swing Hall of Fame in Texas, Oklahoma, and California. He married Lynda Skaggs on June 14, 1985 in Amarillo and they have celebrated 35 years of marriage. Tiny was well versed in the Bible and loved his family and friends dearly.
He was preceded in death by parents and 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda of the home; a son, John Melton Duncan and wife Valorie of Pampa; a brother, Dennis Duncan and wife Achsa of Hugoton, Kansas; a step daughter, Annette Ferguson of Pampa; a step son, Kurt DeShazo of Borger; 2 grandsons, Brock Duncan of Pampa and Garrett McBrayer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Zaileigh Duncan of Pampa; nephews, Gary Hyatt of Amarillo and Barry Duncan of Hugoton, Kansas; and a niece, Sherry Hyatt Gray of Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Harvest House of Pampa.
