Irma Arjona Qusini, 66, of Skellytown, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 in Amarillo.
Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Jamisen Hancock, pastor of Briarwood Church, officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Irma was born February 5, 1958 in San Antonio to Raul and Isabel Arjona. She graduated from Mission High School in Mission, Texas. She was married to Luis Baca, Sr., for 23 years and they continued to be the best of friends and companions for each other. In 2014, she moved to Skellytown. Irma was a caregiver and sitter. She had a caring heart and loved to help others. She enjoyed traveling and being with her sisters, eating out, dancing, and getting all dressed up. Irma was a strong woman who was very blunt at times and said what was on her mind. She did not sugar coat anything, as she was direct and to the point. Irma loved her family and was always watching out for each of them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raul Arjona
Survivors include her daughter, Dulces Baca of Skellytown; two sons, Omar Garza and wife Daphne of Pharr and Luis U. Baca of Skellytown; companion, Luis Baca, Sr. of Skellytown; four sisters, Isabel Vasquez and husband Raul of Perryton, Mindy Arjona and Ida Arjona both of Wheeler, and Mary Lou Galvan of Pharr; six grandchildren, Antonio, Anisha, Marcus, Isaiah, Armani, and Alana; and her mother, Isabel Arjona.
