Jimmy was born June 24, 1941 in Ione, New Mexico to William and Gertrude Bolz.  He graduated from Amistad, New Mexico in 1959 as the Valedictorian.  He also played basketball and ran track while in high school. After graduation, he farmed and ranched in eastern New Mexico and in the Texas panhandle. He married Vickie Hysinger on May 27, 1978 in Hereford, and they made their home in Pampa. He began his career with Cabot Corporation where he worked for over 30 years before retiring.  While his boys were growing up, he was always involved and coaching them in their activities; especially he enjoyed coaching soccer.  After his retirement he continued his love for welding and taking care of “the place”.  He spent many hours making it perfect for him and his family to enjoy.  Jimmy was crafty with wood or metal and could make just about anything.  He loved being Papaw to his grandchildren or as he called them his little “rascals”.  Jimmy loved to cook; especially cooking a big breakfast for his family on Sunday morning.

If you knew Jimmy, he always had a quote like “dad gum the dad gum girls”. He loved his family dearly and will be missed.

Survivors include his wife Vickie of the home; 4 sons, James “Jim” D. Bolz and wife Tricia of Aubrey, Jerald “Jerry” Bolz and wife Alexis and Joel S. Bolz and wife Christi all of Fort Worth, and Jon L.
