James “Scott’ Moore, 60, of Pampa, passed away on December 9, 2018 in Pampa.
Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor, and Rev. Daniel Ortner, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Scott was born on August 19, 1958 to Ilse and Clyde Moore in Borger. Scott grew up and attended school in Borger and graduated in 1976. Later Mr. Moore would meet the love of his life, Cynthia Stovall and they later wed on August 6, 1982 in Borger. Scott worked in the communications industry most of his life working for Continental Telephone, Southwestern Bell and later A T & T and he retired in 2012. Mr. Moore was awarded the Southwestern Bell Ryder Service Award, which is the highest award for customer service.
Scott loved his church where he, as a member, attended Sunday School and served on the building & grounds committee at First Baptist Church of Pampa. Mr. Moore appreciated the outdoors and loved to fish, hunt, and he especially loved taking his grandchildren to the river on their motorcycles. In addition, he loved Jeeps, old motorcycles and cars. But what brought Scott the most enjoyment and pride was his family-especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Moore.
His survivors include his wife, Cynthia Moore of the home, two daughters, Melisa Jones and husband Burton of Pampa, and by Rebecca Moore, all of Pampa; his mother, Ilse Moore of Borger; two sisters, Bonnie Mills of Amarillo and Barbara Barnett and husband Mike all of Amarillo; by a brother, John Moore and wife Suzanne of Borger; by two granddaughters, Lily and Jozy Jones; by his grandson, Madox Jones.

The family will receive friends from 6 PM- 7PM, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the funeral home.
