James “Bubba” Turner, 56, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020, in Pampa.

Jim was born on May 14, 1963 to Simeon Jr. and Barbara Meade Turner in Yuma, CO. The family moved to Pampa in the early 70’s. Jim then moved back to Colorado in the late 80’s. He returned to Pampa in where he resided until he moved to North Dakota. Jim worked in the oilfield for most of his life and enjoyed traveling for his job. He moved back to Pampa in 2014 where he lived until his passing.
Jim loved to go fishing, listen to country music, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his big personality, his love of dogs, and playing practical jokes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Robin Fritts and Arla Yount; 3 brothers-in-law, Vance Fritts, Gene Hinds, and Jimmy McPherson; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Jim is survived by his sisters, Cindy Hinds of TX, Janie McPherson of OK, Rojeana Skeel and husband Kevin of MO, Rosella Turner of OH, and Roseanna Farmer and husband Bill and Roslyn Clark, all of NE; brother, Harold Helms and wife Stacy of OK; stepmother, Rosetta Turner of NE; brother-in-law, Darrell Yount of OK; 3 children, Stacy Mercado and Shannon Turner both of WA, and Deanne Turner of IA; 12 nieces and nephews, Jimmy Hall and wife Tabby, Christa Pennington and husband Chris, Justin McPherson, Jennifer Caywood, and Kelsi Hinds, all of TX, Charton Clark, Carrie Farmer, and Melissa Farmer, all of NE, Dana McPherson, Tony McPherson, and Shawn McPherson and wife Kinsey, all of OK, and Stephanie Hampel of CO; 6 grandchildren; 15 great nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nephews.
