Jane Goode

Jane Goode, 78, of Pampa, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, in Pampa.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 27, 2024, at Trinity Fellowship Church with Pastor Lonnie Robbins, Pastor Mike Borger, and Pastor Kris Humphrey, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Jane was born November 29, 1945, in Crockett to Edward and Verna Foree. She graduated from Snyder High School in 1964, then went on to Texas Tech University. Jane married the love of her life, Ronnie Goode on August 27, 1966, in Snyder. While Ronnie was in the military, they moved to Hinesville, Georgia for several years, then they moved to Welch for 17 years, where she assisted with the farming and worked at the local grocery store. In 1987, they moved to Pampa where she was the Director for Pampa Sheltered Workshop for 10 years and was heavily involved in the Special Olympics.

Jane was a long-time member of Trinity Fellowship and was very involved in the church. She had strong Christian values. Jane always had a positive attitude and was a very giving and loving person. Jane loved flower gardening and writing. She was great at writing down thoughts and had the ability to turn any event into humor, and she was encouraged to put these writings into a book, but unfortunately did not have the chance.. Jane’s family was always very important to her, and she made sure to never miss any events. 

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Verna Foree.

Jane is survived by her husband, Ronnie Goode of the home; children, David Goode and wife Wendy of Lubbock, Shay Goode and wife Janine of Amarillo, Natosha Douglas and husband Robert of Pampa; brother, Charles Foree and wife Linda of Lexington, Kentucky; grandchildren, Zachary Goode and wife Delaney, Connor Goode, Carter Goode, Natalie Douglas, Autumn Douglas, and Evelyn Douglas.
