Janice “Nikki” Tyler, 90, a longtime resident of Pampa, went to a happier place with her Lord on Friday, February 19, 2021 in Abilene.
Celebration of life graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor at Central Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Janice was born September 21, 1930 in Pampa to Robert E. and Bertha Warren. She attended Pampa High School and married Ralph Tyler on March 27, 1953. She enjoyed a retail career that allowed her to visit with people. Her retail experience in Pampa led her to open and own several stores in Westgate Mall in Amarillo, with the last being a holiday store, Holidays. She retired in her late 70’s, when her husband’s health was failing. During her retirement she enjoyed watching baseball and crocheting.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa. Today, she is celebrating a long life well lived with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister and both brothers.
She is survived two daughters, Christy Marlar and husband Larry and Julie Tyler, all of Abilene; granddaughter, Holly Kroon and husband Tyson and great grandchildren, Lainey and Zane, all of Wasilla, Alaska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Windcrest Health and Rehabilitation and Hospice of the Big Country.
