Jeff Kent, 62, of Pampa, passed away April 10, 2019 in Amarillo.
Celebration of life memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Trinity Fellowship Church, with Pastor Mike Borger, officiating. Private family burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Jeff was born January 14, 1957 in Sidney, Nebraska to Ann and Richard Kent. As a young boy his family moved to Borger where he would attend school and graduate with the class of 1976. While in Borger, he met Debra Humphrey while she was attending college. They wed on September 4, 1981in Pampa.
Jeff worked in oil and gas for several years and then later entered the commercial trucking industry. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Jeff loved the Dallas Cowboys and had a love for the outdoors. He liked to travel to Red River, New Mexico where he enjoyed trout fishing. What brought him the greatest joy was his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papa K.
Survivors include his wife Debra of the home; three sons, Adam Kent and wife Jennifer of Pampa, Brad Kent and wife Tiffany of Bastrop, and Chad Kent and wife Kiera of Pampa; his parents, Ann and Richard Kent of Pampa; five grandchildren, Noah, Henley, Emily, Greyson, and Emmalyn; a brother, Tim Kent and wife Jan of Joplin, Missouri; an uncle, Clyde McDaniel and wife Betty of Meeker, Oklahoma; father and mother-in-law, Jerome and Beverly Humphrey of Pampa; and other extended family.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Road, Suite 12-A, Lubbock, Texas 79424.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2019, at the funeral home.
