Jerry Douthit, 53, of Pampa, passed away January 2, 2020 in Pampa.
Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 6, 2020, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Dale West, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Jerry was born September 15, 1966 in Pampa to Darlene Vickery and Charley Douthit. He attended Pampa schools and graduated from Pampa High School in 1985. Jerry was self-employed, owning RV’s & Things, providing a wrecker service, and selling cars. He met the love of his life, Traci Hearron, and they wed in 2007. One of Jerry’s favorite pastimes was anything that had to do with cars. What brought him most enjoyment and what was most important to him, was his family and being a dad to his two girls. Jerry will be remembered as a people person who never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife Traci Douthit of the home; two daughters, Kallie Douthit and Carlie Douthit, both of the home; his mother, Darlene Vickery of Pampa; father, Charley Douthit of Pampa; sister, Trina Garcia and husband Abram of Pampa; a nephew, Aaron Hernandez of Pampa; two nieces, Laci Hernandez of Amarillo and Ashley Hernandez of Lubbock; three aunts, Linda Pauline Clark and husband George of Lawton, Oklahoma, Oleta Young and husband Roy of Seiling, Oklahoma, and Gwen Douthit of Pampa; an uncle, Willy Abshire of Gilmore; and numerous cousins and other extended family.
Jerry was preceded in death by an uncle, Bob Douthit.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 PM Sunday, January 5, 2020, at the funeral home.
