The entire family including many grandchildren enjoyed the lake up until 2000, when she returned to the panhandle and lived in Amarillo near her twin brother Jimmy until his death.
Jerry was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her career spanned from working as dispatcher, secretary, and then working in many different capacities during her time at WalMart. Upon her retirement Jerry was working in the bakery, which she enjoyed. Jerry enjoyed quilting, painting, and spending time with her family.
Jerry was determined, independent, stubborn, and a force of love. Over the course of her lifetime she endured the loss of a son, surviving breast and ovarian cancer, and multiple surgeries. The hardships affected her greatly, however she was a resilient and determined woman. Though she will be missed greatly by those she left behind, we find peace in knowing she is reunited with those she loves.
