Jimmy (Jim) Boyd Maule, 67, of Slaton, formerly of Pampa, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Lubbock. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 30, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Kyle Ohsfeldt, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael- Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Jim was born Dec 12, 1949 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Vernon Boyd Maule and Betty Joy Jones Maule. Jim attended schools in Pampa and graduated Pampa High School in 1968. He attended West Texas State University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University graduating with a Masters in History. Jim was an accomplished musician playing guitar, fiddle, and keyboard. He entertained in a tri-state area with bands that included Tyme, Midwest and Wells Fargo. Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son and caregiver, Marc Maule; his grandson and caregiver Jacob Maule; a daughter Christina McGeorge and husband Roland of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his sister Mary Farmer and husband Jerry of Slaton; 2 nephews and a niece; 2 great nephews and close friends Okla Reynolds, Ron Weidler, and Vickie Morton.
