Jimmie L. Eakin, 79, of Pampa, passed away on November 6, 2018 in Pampa.

Vigil services will be at 7:30 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 10, 2018, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Pampa, with Rev. Francisco Perez officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Jimmie was born on March 25, 1939 in Pampa. He attended schools at Grandview-Hopkins and Pampa, and he graduated from Pampa High School in 1957. He met the love of his life, Rose Mary Homer, and they would later wed on August 24, 1959 in Groom. He worked as a farmer for over 60 years. Jimmie enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, bowling, fishing, and trips to Las Vegas. He had a love for his 1957, 2 door, Ford Fairlane 500. He enjoyed showing it off at either car shows or driving around Pampa.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Mary Homer Eakin of the home; a son, Russell Eakin and wife Jeanne of Pampa; three daughters, Deanna Bradford and husband Chester of Lubbock, Michelle Smallwood and husband Grady of Keller, and Rene Hough and husband David of Friona; a brother, Paul Eakin of White Deer; ten grandchildren, Connie McCoy and husband Ty, and Brady Eakin all of Pampa, Kendall Bradford-Mullins and husband WT of Andrews, Monica Voelkel and husband Brandon of Seattle, Dustin Bradford, Kayla Bradford and Kirsten Bradford all of Lubbock, Tyler Hough and Truman Hough both of Friona, and Ashley Smallwood of Keller; eight great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Pee Wee.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, L.P. and Frances Eakin.
