Jimmy was born and raised in Pampa, Texas. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and loyal friend who touched the lives of many throughout his journey. After graduating high school, Jimmy married and became the proud father of his first son, Jeremy Scott Conner. He joined the U.S. Navy to serve his country during the Vietnam War, where he served aboard the USS Norton Sound in Long Beach, California. After his honorable service, he returned to his beloved hometown of Pampa, where he remarried and expanded his family with two more sons, Jimmy Paul Conner II and Derek Conner.

Throughout his career, he earned respect and admiration for his relentless commitment to the job, as well as for his friendship with his boss and longtime friend, Dennis Holman. When he wasn’t hard at work, Jimmy enjoyed unwinding with his close friends and cherishing annual vacations to Daytona Beach, Florida, a place where he found peace and joy. His loyal nature, dedication to family, and love of life will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Conner and brother, Joe Conner.

He is survived by one brother, Richard Conner and wife Pat of Allen, Texas; sister, Donna Eller of Missouri City, Texas; three sons, Jeremy Scott Conner and wife Linda of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Jimmy Paul Conner II and wife Rochelle of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Derek Conner and wife Tracy of Pampa, Texas; as well as 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
