Jimmy Corley, Sr., 64, of Pampa, passed away August 9, 2018 in Pampa.
Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Brother Ronnie Lambert, pastor of Faith Baptist Church of Wellington, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mr. Corley was born March 25, 1954 in Pampa to W.C. and Eva Lee. He married Becky Walkup on August 21, 1970 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on September 16, 2013. Jimmy worked in the oilfield and later became a TDCJ correctional officer, retiring in 2010. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Top of Texas Bass Club. Jimmy was a member of First Baptist Church of Lefors. He loved to be with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Carla Robinson of Pampa; two sons, Jimmy Corley, Jr. of Pampa, and Richard Taylor and wife Elaine of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Tanner Hughes and Jimmy (Trae) Corley III, both of Pampa; four granddaughters, Jordann Pairsh and husband J.D. and Torri Scott and husband Dillon, all of Pampa, Chainee Corley of Canyon, and Serenity Corley of Borger; three great grandchildren, Danni Pairsh, Haedyn Pairsh and J. W. Pairsh, all of Pampa; a sister Anna Coates and husband Gaylon; cousin, Ernie Frazier and wife Vanita of Pampa; and a special friend Donna Caswell. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Jimmy was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Kevin Reece, and a sister, Theresa Leisure.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the funeral home.
