John Thomas “Tommy” Bowers, Jr., of Pampa, stepped into Heaven on Sunday, March 1, 2020 in Amarillo.
Celebration of life services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Hillside Christian Church of Pampa with David Young, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Tommy was born on June 28, 1949 to Mary Gladys and John Thomas Bowers, Sr. in Pampa. Tommy was lifelong Pampa resident who attended Pampa schools and later graduated from high school in Arizona. After high school and college, he met Mary Kitterlin and they later married on December 31, 1969. Tommy was a lifelong Rancher and Oil & Gas producer. He was a civic minded man who supported many local groups and charities. Tommy was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Pampa, which is now Hillside Christian Church of Pampa. He will be remembered as a loving and generous man who had a big heart and cared for everyone he knew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His survivors include his wife, Mary Bowers of the home; his two sons, Tommy Joe Bowers and beloved friend Victor Jones of Atlanta, TX and Jon Len Bowers of Dallas; a stepson, Ryan Cloud and wife Holly of Pampa; three granddaughters, Brianna, Jordan and Audrey, all of Pampa; and by numerous cousins and extended family.
Our family wishes to sincerely thank Mario & Rhonda Cecilio, Kathy Beck, Tonya Garza, and Allen Jenkins for their loving care of Tommy for many years of service and dedication.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:30-7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
