John Hartwell Pitman, II

John Hartwell Pitman, II, 72, of Wheeler, Texas went to his eternal resting home on July 29, 2021 in Pampa, Texas.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

John was born August 21, 1948 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John H. and Ida Mae (Hallock) Pitman. He moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma in 1964 and graduated high school in 1967. John worked on a farm outside of Weatherford through high school until going onto be a mechanic, an electrician, and later worked in the oil field. John spent the rest of his career working all over Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. John made his home in Wheeler, Texas after he retired.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his 2 daughters, Tonya Pitman of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Christie Potter (Jason) of North Charleston, South Carolina; 2 grandsons, Tyler Potter of Elk City, Oklahoma and Mark Potter (Anna) of Memphis, Tennessee. Also survived by his longtime friend, Tammy Andris and her children, Timmy Andris of Wheeler, Michelle Waters (Aaron), their daughters, Codi and Stormi all of Wheeler, and Dan Andris, Elk City, Oklahoma.
