Jose Irineo Torres, 84, of Pampa, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, in Amarillo, as he was surrounded by his family.
Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 28, 2023, at the Carmichael-Whaltey Colonial Chapel with Pastor Ruben Coronado, pastor of Calvary Family Church in Hereford, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Jose was born on June 28, 1939, in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico. He lived a strong, happy life with his wife, Dianira Torres, of 47 years. Together they were surrounded by 5 children, 20 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, equaling 5 generations!
Jose was a member of Iglesia Nueva Vida for many years. He retired from Enerpipe after 30 years; he also worked at Wal-Mart for 6 years. The one thing Jose did harder than work was to love and be kind to everyone he met. His impression and legacy will forever last in our hearts and lives.
Jose is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Juanita Rosalez; and brothers-in-law, Roy Rosalez, Larry Rosalez, and Tony Rosalez.
He is survived by his wife, Dianira Torres of the home; his children, Terry Hernandez and husband Ignacio Hernandez of San Antonio, Leticia Silva and husband Venancio Silva of Friendswood, Juana Price and husband Jeff Price of Pampa, Conrad Munguia and wife Anita Munguia of Pampa, Rosario Munguia of Austin, and Marcos Campos and wife Krissa of Pampa.
