Jovita Villalon, 73, of Pampa passed away on December 30, 2018 in Pampa.
Vigil service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel. Mass will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 3, 2019 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with Rev. Juan Carlos Barragan officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Jovita was born February 15, 1945 in Martinez, San Luis, Potosi to Lola and Navor Villalon. She moved to Pampa in 1982. Jovita began to work for Fish Construction, Your Laundry, and then retired from Quality Cleaners. She was a long-time member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and Cursillista. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, sewing, and cooking for her family and spending time with them. Jovita was know as “Grandma” by her grandchildren and “Tia Shorty” by her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Agustin Villalon and Franco Villalon; 3 sisters, Isabel Villalon, Rebeca Villalon, and Natalia Silva.
Survivors include her daughter, Rosie Armendariz and husband Ricardo of Pampa; her son, Albert Copado and wife Maria of Pampa; a sister, Beatriz Rodriguez Saldierna of Pampa; 3 brothers, Alfredo Villalon and wife Simona of Garland, Navor Villalon and Feliciano Saldierna and wife Noelia all of Pampa; 4 grandchildren, Alexis Moore and Brittany, Allison Armendariz, Junior Copado and Christian Copado all of Pampa; and 2 great grandchildren, Aiden Ponce and Leighton Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
