Joy Knutson

Joy Knutson, 76, of Pampa, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018, in Pampa.

Celebration of Life services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Briarwood Church, with Dr. Roger Hubbard, senior pastor of Lake Tanglewood Community Church, and Pastor Brian Thomas, pastor of Harvest Bible Church, officiating.  Cremation and arrangements are under the care of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Joy was born on February 2, 1942 in Shamrock to Solon Alvis and Daisy Jewell Reeves.  She spent her formative years there in Shamrock before marrying Harley Knutson in 1963.  They moved to Pampa in 1964. Joy was a founding member of The Bible Church of Pampa where she held and attended bible study groups in her home and at church.  She was an avid watcher of Pastor David Jeremiah and was instrumental in the Good News Club Ministry for school aged children.  Joy loved a good shopping trip and her Texas Rangers but only when they won.  She was a member of Harvest Bible Church.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harley of the home; one daughter, Scherri Wilson of Dallas; three sons, Michael Knutson and wife Melissa of Pampa, Brad Knutson and wife Christie of Amarillo and Brandon Knutson and wife Shelli of Dallas; three brothers, Alvis Reeves and wife Dolores of Corsicana, Larry Reeves of Shamrock and Dick Reeves and wife Jeanne of Houston; two sisters Doris Johnson of Anaheim and Alveeta Corbitt of Arlington; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
