Joyce Evelyn Sanders

Joyce Evelyn Sanders, 82, of Shamrock, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022 at home with family by her side.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 11, 2022 at the Heald United Methodist Church in McLean, with Rev. Thacker Haynes, minister of McLean and Heald United Methodist Churches, officiating, and Casey Carter of One Way Church of McLean, assisting. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory of Pampa.

Evelyn was born on August 21, 1939 in Booneville, Arkansas to Juanita and Noble Fish. Evelyn married Don Sanders on May 5, 1972 in Borger. She was a long-time teacher in McLean for over 30 years and a member of the Heald Methodist Church. Some of Evelyn’s favorite things were spending time with beloved husband, Don, all her grandchildren, and helping in the community & church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by a sister, Alta Turner.

Her survivors include her husband, Don Sanders of the home; four children, Tuffy Sanders of Pampa, Becky Sanders- Williams of Kentucky, Dusty Sanders and wife Lamonica of Stinnett, and Kimberly McLain and Danny of Borger; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and other extended family.

The honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
