Joye Dale Blaylock

Joye D Blaylock, 80, of Alanreed, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 in Pampa.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Joye was born on August 10, 1941 in Converse, Louisiana to George Wilke and Clarice Marie Craig Lewis. She married Donald Ray "Sonny" Blaylock on August 4, 1959 in Farmington, New Mexico. He preceded her in death in 2002. After they got married Joye and Donald moved to Pampa, where they resided for 20 years. Joye traveled all over the country, working with Donald, doing construction work. In 1992, Donald and Joye made their home in Alanreed, where Joye lived for the last 20 years. Joye enjoyed cooking, fishing, traveling, and meeting new people. She could remember just about everyone she had met over the years. Joye will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, of 43 years, Donald Blaylock; and two brothers, Hugh Allen Lewis and Johnny Lee Lewis.

Joye is survived by her siblings, Shirley Ann Driggs and husband, Donald of San Angelo, Mike Lewis and wife Terri of Hobbs, New Mexico, David Lynn Lewis and wife Nelda of Midland, and Deanna Kaye Lewis of Andrews; one sister-in-law, Nancy Lewis of Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews.
