Juanita Cruz, 65, of Pampa passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019 in Pampa.
Rosary service be 6:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel.
Mass will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2019 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with Rev. Taylor Elzner, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Juanita was born on May 27, 1954 in Lubbock to Pedro and Juanita Mojica Pina. She has moved from Lubbock to Pampa in 1974, where she met Nemecio Cruz, they were married on May 28, 1976. She loved listening to music, dancing until her feet hurt, and going to the casinos. She was a great cook and was known for her famous tamales, if you left her house hungry that was your fault. She had a kind heart and loved everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Juanita Pina; and son Francisco “Chico” Cruz.
Survivors include her husband, of 43 years, Nemecio Cruz of the home; grandson, Anthony Cruz of Pampa; 2 brothers, Pete Pina Jr. and wife Sylvia of New Braunfels, and George Pina of Lubbock; 3 sisters, Oralia Rangel of Lubbock, Andrea Gaitan of Lubbock, and Sally Arceanuex and husband Howard of Rockwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
