Juanita "Nita" Merle Ramming

Juanita "Nita" Merle Ramming, 89, of White Deer passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at her home in White Deer.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at First Baptist Church in White Deer with Rev. Alan Wilson, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Nita was born May 1, 1932 in Conway to Floy and Willie Sue Ketchum. She graduated from Panhandle High School in 1949 and went on to attend North Texas State University in Denton for a few years. She married Richard “Rick” Ramming on February 27, 1950 in Conway. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary prior to Rick passing on April 12, 2010. They made their home in White Deer in 1951. She was a member of Square House Museum, Daughters of Pioneer, White Deer Cemetery Association, White Deer Senior Citizens, United Methodist Women, and WMU. Nita was very talented with her painting. She also had a love for music and was an accomplished pianist and organist. Through the years she has played at numerous churches such as First Baptist Church in White Deer, Briarwood Church in Pampa, and United Methodist Church in White Deer retiring in 2015. She loved her family and will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Lenova Nunley and LaVerne Driskall; 2 brothers, Steenie Ketchum and Don Ketchum.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Vicki Ramming of White Deer and Pam Cartwright and husband Jeff of Princeton; son, Richard Don “RD” Ramming of White Deer; 8 grandchildren, Kelly Ramming, Jimmy Chaney and wife Amy, Shane Chaney, Rex Chaney and wife Debbie, Stacey Ramming and wife Kristy, Sarah Burch and husband Jamie, Josh Cartwright and Mark, and Kendra Cartwright; 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
