Karen Lewis Kerns, 81, of Pampa passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 in Pampa.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, August 14, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Clark, music minister at First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Kerns was born on August 7, 1939 in Pampa to Charles and Mary Lewis. Karen graduated from Pampa High School and received LVN in 1976. She married Dave Kerns on April 4, 1986 in Pampa. Karen worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Groom Hospital, Highland General Hospital, Pampa Nursing Home, and Caprock Home Health for over 44 yrs. She also managed the Barrington Apartments and worked at the Coronado Inn. Karen loved spending time outside, sewing and telling old stories to anyone who would listen. She was a Christian.
Karen was preceded in death by a son, Mickey Dean Dabbs in 1958; a grandson, Tony Bebee in 2011; and a great grandson, Austin Burton in 2017.
Survivors include her husband, Dave of the home; four sons, Brent Dabbs and wife Gail, Gary Dabbs and wife Michele, all of Pampa, Jodie Kerns and wife Lori of Oklahoma, Larry David Kerns of Oklahoma; a daughter, Chris Everett of Pampa; five grandchildren, Kristi Humble and husband Brandon, Melissa Dabbs, Nicole Dabbs, and Scottie Dabbs all of Pampa, and Bear Raymo of Texhoma, Oklahoma; 11 great grandchildren, Roland Gallegos of Pampa, Charlie Gallegos of San Diego, California, Breana Burton of Pampa, Nathan Gallegos, Destiny Gallegos, both of San Diego, California, Katlyn Magers, Abigail Magers, Brooklyn Bebee, Braylyn Bebee and Cambria Bolgrin, all of Pampa
