Karin Boyd- Velasquez

Karin Fay Boyd Velasquez, 46, of Pampa, passed away, Saturday, October 24, 2020 in Amarillo.

Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Melford Hanks, associate pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church of Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. The service will be live streamed at https://www.carmichael-whatley.com/page/live-streaming

Karin was born on September 7, 1974 in Perryton to Virginia and Stanley Roberts. As a young girl she moved to Pampa where she attended school and has been a lifelong resident. She would meet Kevin Boyd and they later got married on February 14, 1996. They shared several good years before he preceded her in death in 2007. She would find love again when she met Jessie Velasquez, Jr. Karin worked and managed in the food service industry for several years at KFC and Burger Express, the family owned business.

Karin was fun-spirited person who loved dancing, singing karaoke, playing pool & darts, and playing board games with her family. Above all else, her family was the most important thing, and her children, Haleigh and Tyler brought her great pride. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Kevin.

Karin is survived by her husband, Jessie Velasquez, Jr., of the home; a son, Tyler Roberts of Pampa; her daughter, Haleigh Boyd of Pampa; two step-sons, Eddie Boaz of Michigan, and Jacob Velasquez of Amarillo; two sisters, Sandi Boyd and husband Greg, and Crystal Fuller, all of Pampa; three  brothers, Ricky Roberts and wife Beverly of Richmond, Kyle Roberts of Pampa, and Steve Gordon of Oklahoma City, OK; a grandson, Devin James Velasquez of Shamrock; and by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
