Pampa, Texas

Ken McGuire, 65, of Pampa, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Jamisen Hancock, pastor of Briarwood Church, officiating. An inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Ken was born September 9, 1959 in Pampa to Nate and Judy Haynes. She graduated from Pampa High School with the class of 1976. After high school she attended cosmetology school and began her career. Ken owned and operated Ken’s Hair and Hobbies for many years and had a successful business and retired in 2020. Over the years she met so many clients and made wonderful friendships. Ken was a loving person, and she was the happiest when she was able to help others. She was a wonderful caregiver.

Ken enjoyed going with Shelley to the ranch on the weekends, just sitting and spending time outdoors. She had a green thumb, as she was able to nurture and grow beautiful plants. Ken also had a huge collection of essential oils. She would research and find what oils were needed for just about any ailment.

Ken’s personality made her fun to be around. She loved to laugh and have a good time, but she also was not afraid to speak her mind and let you know what she was thinking. Ken was a private person. She kept to herself and kept her circle small.

She was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Dale Haynes and Ronnie Haynes; and a grandchild, Reese Crawford.

Survivors include her daughter, Lacey Jaye Crawford and husband Josh of Pampa; son, Daniel Jad McGuire and wife Grace of Celina; grandchildren, Landry Crawford, Lyla Jaye Crawford, Henry McGuire, and Ozzy McGuire; special niece, Kala Hacker and husband Will of Pearland; sister, Shelley Dyer and husband Shane of Pampa; nieces and nephews, Cody Dyer, Jason Dyer and wife April, and Tanner Dyer and wife Amy all of Pampa; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
