Ken Raulston, 79, of Pampa, passed away on December 18, 2019 in Pampa.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Ken was born on July 3, 1940 in Mangum, OK to Bonnie and Ray Raulston. As a young boy his family moved to Borger where he would attend and graduate school. After high school, he enlisted in the US Army. He later met and married Sheila Snider and they would have two sons. They shared many good years together before she preceded him in death. He later found love again and married Helen King on November 6, 2009 in Pampa.
Ken was a very active man who could maintain many different jobs at the same time which included owning and operating his own filling station, helping farmers with their crops and working for Pantex where he retired after 27 years. He stayed busy even after retirement, where he was a volunteer crosswalk attendant, helped as a janitor for the Community Christian School and a volunteer at the hospital. Ken was a former longtime member of Briarwood church and like to help usher when he could. Ken was a member of Soloman’s Portico Bible Study for several years as well.
He was very good with his hands and he liked to build and create anything. Ken loved to travel and went on many cruises, but his family is what mattered most to him and brought him the most joy. He will be remembered as loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
