Lalla Mae Burk Davis, 74, of Dothan, Alabama and formerly of Pampa, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 in Dothan, Alabama.
Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2024 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Pastor Travis Leamon, pastor of Carey First Baptist Church in Carey, officiating. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery in Claude, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. The funeral service will be livestreamed through the funeral home’s website.
Lalla Mae was born on September 6, 1950 at Groom Memorial Hospital in Groom, Texas to Martha Anne Kitzler Burk and Clifford Elton “Boog” Burk.
She lived her first 6 years of life at the Kitzler home place in Claude, Texas prior to moving to the Bob Price ranch northwest of Pampa. Lalla Mae lived on the ranch until her marriage to Dr. Steve Davis. She and Steve resided in Groom, Texas. Two children were born to this union, and she inherited 3 bonus children. They all lived in Groom, Pampa, and Canadian before moving to Opp, Alabama. Unfortunately, Steve and Lalla Mae went their separate ways but remained good friends. Lalla Mae moved to Dothan, Alabama and resided there until her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one bonus daughter, Pamela Davis Taylor, and granddaughter, Chloe Vivens.
She is survived by her children, Stephanie Jame Lewis and husband Christopher of Rehobeth, Alabama, Robin Lea Davis of Dothan, Alabama, Steve Davis, Jr. of Opp, Alabama, and Staci Carrasco of Roswell, New Mexico; grandchildren, Madison Judy and husband Wyatt, Davis Kirkland and wife Kaylee all of Rehobeth, Alabama, Halle Lewis of Opp, Alabama, Grant Vivens and wife Xandria of Amarillo, Texas, Alex Vivens of Roswell, New Mexico, Samatha Bruns and husband Tucker of Roswell, New Mexico, and Hayden Carrasco of Roswell, New Mexico; great grandchildren, Kinley and Dawson Kirkland of Rehobeth, Alabama, Heath Aaron Bruns of Roswell, New Mexico; sisters, Bettie Lou Crouch-Lynch and husband Galen of Pampa, Suz Anne Kurten and husband Johnny of Coupland, Mary Beth Holland and husband Lynn of Mobeetie; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Maurice Ward of Dothan, Alabama.
