Lanessia Marie Rose Rowland

Lanessia Marie Rose Rowland, 50, of Pampa, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023 in Amarillo.

Viewing will be from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Lanessia was born July 1, 1972 in Enid, Oklahoma to Vernon Rose, Sr. and Rose Shaw Lee. She was raised in Enid and moved to Killeen when she was sixteen. Lanessia then moved to Alamogordo, New Mexico then White Sands, New Mexico. She later moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma and then Chickasha, Oklahoma before moving to Pampa in 2005.

Lanessia enjoyed playing board games, watching horror movies and True Bloods, reading, and spending time with her family. She was an avid collector of elephant figurines and plushies. Lanessia also loved the color pink and any kind of rose.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Allen Lee; two sisters, Nellia Harris and Ami Helden; and one niece, Jeanie Gholson.

Lanessia is survived by one brother, Junior Rose of Orrick, Missouri; three children, Brittnie Rowland and husband Cody White of Amarillo, Davey Rowland of Hamburg, Pennsylvania, and Nancy Calcote of Pampa; four grandchildren, Jack Elton, Wezley Rowland, Kaylee Calcote, and Chris Harkins, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Rosie.
