It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Don McDonald announces his passing on June 8, 2018 at the age of 60 in Pampa.
Celebration of life services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Born in Snyder, Texas, Larry’s childhood was filled with adventure and often mischief, as he grew up in the Texas panhandle. In 1976, he graduated from Littlefield High School where he excelled both academically and athletically. He went on to get a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Texas Tech before starting a lifelong career in the oil and gas industry.
Larry was always the life of the party; telling stories, jokes, and anything else on his mind. He wasn’t known for having a filter and was extremely transparent, but always honest. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, skydiving, camping, and spending time with his friends and family. Larry never met a stranger and was good about keeping in touch with old friends. He was always up for a celebration and the party won’t be the same without him.
Larry will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Jennifer Bingham and husband Brad of Dallas and Hailey Bohanan of Mustang, OK; three grandchildren, Liam Bohanan, Emily Bingham, and Brooks Bingham; his mother, Pat Johnson of Pampa; his brother, David McDonald of Panhandle; former wife and mother of his children, Traci Milliner of Keller and former wife Carmen McDonald of Oklahoma City.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 1981, Pampa, TX 79066 or a charity of your choice.
