Laurey Deen Gilbert, 56, of Pampa, died April 12, 2018 in Amarillo.
Vigil and rosary services will be 7:00 PM Monday, April 16, 2018, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, and memorial mass will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor, officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Gilbert was born January 20, 1962 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Richard and Carla Franks. She was a 1980 graduate of Hart High School and later attended Texas Tech University. She married Mark Gilbert on June 1, 1985 in Hart. Laurey had been a resident of Pampa for the past 22 years. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, involved in Top of Texas Republican Women, and had volunteered with the Crisis Pregnancy Center. She loved to watch her son being involved in sports, she loved to read, study history and loved her family dearly.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Gilbert of the home; her son, Brody Gilbert of Pampa; her father, Richard Franks of Hart; and a niece, Sydney Westin of Lubbock. Laurey was preceded in death by her mother, Carla Franks; and a sister, Lesley Westin.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
