Skellytown

Lewis Tollison, 74, of Skellytown, passed away on January 29, 2024, at his home.

Celebration of life memorial services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with his family eulogizing his service. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Lewis was born on March 7, 1949, in Pampa to Paul and Hazel Tollison. He grew up in both Skellytown and Pampa, graduating from Pampa High School in 1969. Lewis married Linda M. Hillhouse, and they raised two children before they parted ways, but they always remained friends. After his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving his country proudly for several years. Following his discharge, he came back to the panhandle to help raise his family.

Lewis would open his own business, Circle H Steam Service in 1988 and he would own and operate until 2011. After his retirement, he stayed busy doing landscaping and some construction work with his family. Lewis was a thoughtful and giving man who put many others’ need before his own and the most important thing to him was his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and several siblings.

Lewis is survived by a son, Lucias Tollison of Skellytown; a daughter, Lucinda Williams and husband Tommy of Ft. Collins, Colorado; six grandchildren, Zach Earles, Zandria Tollison, Torya Mason and husband Chase, Layne Dehls, Donovan Williams, and Malee Williams; three greatgrandchildren, Noah, Xella, and Jr.; a brother, Jesse Tollison and wife Deb of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; niece, Jenny Felton of Amarillo; several other nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
