Linda “Maw Maw” Cawyer, 69, of Skellytown, passed away February 19, 2019 in Skellytown.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Chip Watson of Soldiers for Christ, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.
Mrs. Cawyer was born September 27, 1949 in Paducah. She married Weldon Cawyer, Sr., on September 4, 1967 in Aransas Pass. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1991. Linda had been a resident of Skellytown since 1989. She was a homemaker and owned a flower shop in Arkansas at one time. She loved to oil paint, travel and spend time with her grandchildren and family. Linda was called “Maw Maw” by her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Stormie Cawyer and partner Monte Smith of Skellytown; four grandchildren, Misty Barrow and fiancé Sean Holly of Pampa, Justyn Cawyer and wife Alisha of Perryton, Cheyanne Cawyer of White Deer, and Dusty Barrow and wife Erica of Minden, Nevada; two sisters, Billie Pepper and husband Ronny of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Melissa Tate of Kansas, Oklahoma; a brother, Phillip Harper of Kansas, Oklahoma; eight great grandchildren, Baylee, Ambrosha, Jason, Taigen, Carley, Payton, Rylie and Rowdy; and numerous other family members.
Linda was preceded in death by a son Weldon Wayne Cawyer, Jr. in 2001 and her parents Billy and Ima Lee Harper.
