Linda L. Hollenback

Linda Lou (Allen) Hollenback, 82, passed away on September 19, 2024, in McLean, Texas.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of White Deer, Texas with Brother Alan Wilson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory. 

Linda was born on August 23, 1942, Broughton, Illinois, to Johnson Lane and Thelma June (Williams) Allen. Their family moved to Shamrock, TX where she met and married James Woods. Their adventures over the next 22 years included military life, living in Oklahoma, Alaska, and Texas, and raising five kids, and a pony, dogs, cats, goldfish and numerous other critters. Linda loved spending time with family, being outdoors, swimming, baking and she especially loved celebrating every single holiday.

Linda is survived by her children’s father, James Woods of Shamrock, TX; son, Dale Woods and wife Lynn of Amarillo; daughter-in-law, Connie Woods of Amarillo, TX; son, Donald Woods and wife Paulina of White Deer, TX; daughter, Wanda and husband Jim Owens, of Weatherford, OK; daughter, Aletha and husband Lovis Moomey of Del City, OK; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Linda is preceded in death by parents, J.L. and June Allen; her second husband, Ted Hollenback; twin sister, Wanda Sue Allen; sons, Daniel Jason and David Alan Woods.

The family would like to thank McLean Care Center and Gentiva hospice for the love and care they gave to Linda.
