- Linda Stokes, 80, of Pampa, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Pampa.
- Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 2, 2024 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Rushing, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
- The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 PM.
- Linda was born January 21, 1944 in Lubbock. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1962 and went on to earn her Nursing degree. Soon after graduating from high school, she married Ronny Lee Stokes in Pampa. He passed away on July 8, 2003. Linda worked as a case manager at Pampa Regional Medical Center and retired after 32 years of service. When Linda was younger, she was a coach for the Bantam Youth Bowling League. She was also a volunteer for PAWS and loved helping out. Linda enjoyed camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles with her husband and children as they were growing up. After retirement, she spent time sewing and quilting, and loving her dogs. Linda also enjoyed following her grandchildren in all of their sports and activities.
- She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Watts; mother and stepfather, J.T. and Merle Moore; daughter, Katherine Lynn; and a great grandson, Samuel Murray.
- Survivors include her two sons, Shane Stokes and wife Sandee of Pampa and Scott Stokes and wife Summer of Pampa; seven grandchildren, Kendall Murray and husband Matt of Mansfield, McKinlee Martin and husband Colby of Hardesty, Oklahoma, Brandon Stokes of Denver, Colorado, Brad Stokes and wife Chloe and Sydney Stokes all of Meridian, Mississippi, Justice Stokes, and Noell Stokes both of Pampa; five great grandchildren; four sisters, Janet Lucas and husband Garland of Lubbock, Phyllis Lynch of Lake Jackson, Bonnie Helpenstell and husband Eric of Corvallis, Oregon; and Kathy Hysell and husband Gary of Boise, Idaho; two brothers, Ronnie Moore and wife Linda and Chris Moore all of Lubbock.
- The family would like to thank Ann and Angie and the rest of the Interim Hospice team for their love and care to Linda.
